AT AGE 14, MASTER QAHHAAR IS THE YOUNGEST ATHLETE EVER TO MEDAL AT THE TAEKWONDO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS.
"Miss Jill" Qahhaar has been married to Master Al for over twenty-five years and began training in taekwondo in 2000.
Miss Jill became an Instructor in 2001 and achieved 4th Dan Black Belt in December 2014. Miss Jill is a certified coach with the USAT and AAU and has coached at all levels in taekwondo; local, national and international.
Miss Jill is responsible for much of the day-to-day business at Al's Black Belt Club but enjoys working with children and adults by assisting in classes. "ABBC Taekwondo has been a gift to our family. We have the unique opportunity to impact the lives of others and encourage them to pursue their goals and dreams."
"Master Guy" Montinola began his training with Master Al in 1999 by taking a Kickboxing class. He soon transitioned to Taekwondo classes and began earning rank.
Master Guy achieved the rank of Master Instructor in 2014 and is committed to assisting in the Children's Sparring classes and competition team training!
His son, Michael, followed in dad's footsteps by signing up for taekwondo along with ABBC's National Competition Team!
"Miss Angela" Pullen began her Taekwondo training in 2007, joining the adult program after watching her son in the children's class. For her, Taekwondo is a big part of her life for exercise, stress management, self-discipline, and fun! She assists in classes and enjoys the energy and excitement that she receives from the children, seeing their confidence grow and their pursuit of excellent technique!
Miss Angela earned her Kukkiwon 3rd Degree Black Belt in 2017. She competed in her first National competition in 2013 and many other tournaments since then including US Open. She is also a USAT certified Poomsae referee.
Miss Angela is married with two sons; one of which earned his 3rd Black Belt at ABBC. Angela is a pediatric physical therapist who was on staff at Easter Seals Dupage for more than 15 years in addition to having her own private practice.
"Miss Cynthia" Rose began her taekwondo training with her daughter in 2004.
Taekwondo started out as a great workout that she and her teenage daughter could do together, and has now turned into a part of her life as she assists with our children classes 2-3 days each week.
Miss Cynthia is a dedicated mother and grandmother, 3rd Degree Black Belt and Assistant Instructor!
